A lot of my little touches were learnt in those days and after 3 amazing years I was ready to have my own salon. Aged 22, I opened Beauty Lab with my business partner, then went solo in a fantastic hairdressers MercerTyler. 
After 4 years in London, I was ready for a family, which moved us to Norwich.

I rented a beauty room in the friendliest hairdressers called Beau where I worked 3 days/week, giving me time to look after my daughter. But my love of travelling was calling again and whilst climbing a mountain in Germany we made a family choice to move to Thailand. Doing regular Thai massages on a sun-filled tiny Island was wonderful but after 2 years my baby had grown and we decided to move back to England. 

We made our home in Chester and I started work at Craxton Wood Spa. Though it wasn’t for me, what I found was unexpected. Over the years, I had always done hair ups for friends and started doing the Spa Team’s hair before we started work. I loved it and thought ‘I’ve found a little hobby here! Up Do’s was born. 
Throughout all this, whilst my eldest was at primary school, I found myself planning and hosting kids’ parties too! With fun glitter tattoos, funky hair ups, teaching hand massages… they proved a huge success. Over the past 6 years, I teamed up with my incredibly talented henna artist Nilima, and we have been so honoured to have hosted over 100 parties!

I moved from the Spa to work alongside Stacey at Serenity and I soon built up a wonderful clientele for both beauty and hair ups. 
After baby number 2, I longed for an ‘at home salon’. Building up from scratch again in the midst of a Pandemic was scary but I knew I could do it with the support of my amazing clients. 

On the 1st of December the Beauty Pod landed in Tarvin and VeDen was born - ‘VeDen’ being a bit of a play-on-words as I am Vegan and my little beauty pod is like a lovely secret Den. I love the versatility of all 3 of my businesses and am passionate about each one. 

VeDen is the most perfect environment for relaxing treatments and spa-like moments.
Up Do’s is incredible - creating beautiful hair ups for bridal parties and special occasions.
And the Pamper Parties have really taken off over the years - I have recently launched the business as ‘Sparkles and Serene’, adding parties for adults too! 

Since 2020, I’ve been a proud ambassador for Tropic Skin Care which is a company with a product line who’s ethics match my own business ethos.
